Arizona offers some of the best elk hunting in the world, there are more big bulls taken here annually than anywhere else out West. In the units we prefer to guide in, bulls range from 300” – 350”. For those who are willing and able to hunt hard, hold out and hike into remote country your chances of harvesting a 350” to 380” class animal are increased.
Our archery hunt takes place in September, which is at the beginning of the rut. This time of year the bulls become susceptible to calling, making them very vulnerable. Our general rifle season is in November, bulls at this time begin to herd up, its not uncommon to see 10-15 bulls a day on these hunts. Our trophy bull and muzzleloader hunts are at the end of September. The rut at this time is in full swing and bulls are cow crazy! Our methods of hunting consist of spot and stalk, hunting from tree stands and ground blinds and calling.
For those of you interested in coming out I strongly recommend you physically prepare for this hunt, at times we cover a lot of terrain.
If you are interested in us assisting you on a trophy AZ hunt and the chance of harvesting a bull of a lifetime please give us a call!!** References available upon Reciept.
