The outlook for the 2006/2007 season is excellent, especially for Gambel's. Southern Arizona has received a much anticipated amount of rain fall which is critical for quail development as well as the habitat growth. Arizona is home to 3 species of quail: Gambel's, Mearns' and Scaled. The Most common is the Gambel's quail, which is found throughout Southern Arizona . The Scaled quail are located in the southeast part of the state. The Mearn's quail is unique to the southern part of the state at elevations above 4.000 feet. Limits: Gambel's, Mearns' and Scaled 15 per day/30 in possession.

This hunt includes: All day hunt, lunch, beverages and cleaning.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book a hunt.
Mearn's
also known as Montezuma quail are found at higher elevations,
generally 4000 to 5500 ft. They are hunted in the grassy draws which feed
off of the main drainages. Of Arizona quail species these are the most
sought after due to their rarity and ability to hold tight. This is a
quite challenging 
and
physical hunt due to the terrain and amount of walking involved.
Our most popular hunt is for Gambel's
Quail
due to their abundance and availability. On these hunt expect to see many
birds with plenty of shooting opportunities.
